Just a quick note on what I've been reading:

I'm just dropping some quick notes on some of the books that I read in the last few weeks. I'm only including the ones that I highly recommend. As always, I'm omitting the ones I could have done without.

FATEFUL
by Claudia Gray
ISBN-13: 978-0062006202, Harper Teen, 336 pages.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads- Available Now!
-----------------------------------------
I finished Fateful by Claudia Gray last night and though it was so romantic and amazing. I loved the author's take on werewolf mythology, it's very specific and has put werewolves on a global power scale instead of keeping them in the backwoods and isolated. I especially enjoyed them within the confines of the Titanic- a paranormal story set within that tragic voyage is beyond cool.  Alec and Tess are forever etched into my heart. More on this later.

ASHES
Ashes Trilogy, Book One
by Ilsa J. Bick
ISBN-13: 978-1606841754,  EdgmontUSA, 480 pages.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads- Available Now!
--------------------------------------
Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick is really thrilling. I loved that it's the origins story of a global disater. We are with the characters as these terrible events are unfolding. Each chapter just ratchets up the intensity, you know that something terrible in on the horizon, may be just a page turn away. My only displeasure came from the last few chapters, without giving anything away, I just want to say that I loath a character who's heart can be swayed so quickly. That's all I'm saying! And a huge thumbs way up for the cliffhanger ending, can't wait for book two, Shadows, coming in 2012.

ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD
Anna Dressed In Blood, Book One
by Kendare Blake
ISBN13: 9780765328656, TOR Teen, 316 pages.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads Available Now!
--------------------------------------------
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake is super f'ing awesome! I waited for this book, coveting it with all my dark little heart for over a year. The wait was beyond worth it. I love dutiful heroes with dark futures and even darker pasts, and Cas Lowood has these qualities in spades. He is one dangerous dude. More on this later...

Look for GIRL OF NIGHTMARES, Anna Dressed In Blood book 2, in 2012.

EVERY OTHER DAY
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Coming 12/27/11
ISBN-13: 978-1606841693, EdgmontUSA, 352 pages.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads
-----------------------------------
Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, I read this book from Netgalley and I'll post a full review on this book later, but I wanted to give my first impressions here. EOD is lightyears different from her Raised By Wolves series and yet it has everything that we love from the author: an intense and dangerous story filled with rich characters. It looks to be a standalone novel, but I would sincerely wish the author to pick up where this book left off, I would gladly follow these characters into their next adventure.

IRON KNIGHT
Iron Fey, Book Four
by Julie Kagawa
Coming 10/25/11
ISBN-13: 978-0373210367, Harlequin Teen, 386 pages.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads
--------------------------------
Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa. I read this book at Netgalley, and I thank my lucky stars everyday that I joined that site when it first started up. Iron Knight is one of those heartbreakingly beautiful stories that should be read while listening to some sad music. It was the story that I'd always wanted from this Iron Fey series; a little more mature and full of Ash. I didn't miss Meghan a wink! There is one chapter in particular that I will always remember because it reached deep down inside and squeezed the shit out of my heart. Loved this book too! More on this later....
