Baz Luhrmann's Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan

If you haven't seen this trailer yet, what are you waiting for?! Yes you know that this movie reunites Di Caprio and Luhrmann, yes it's one of the great lit novels of all time, but are you as excited as I am? One of my favorite coffee table books is The Mythic City because it shows what New York used to look like when it was all lit up with a million light bulbs and the garishness of neon had yet to be born. This movie is a feast for the eyes, and looks epic in scale. The Redford and Farrow version of Gatsby was very pastel and very dreamy, and thanks to shows and movies like Boardwalk Empire and Public Enemies, the early 1900's are white hot and in vivid color.
